Since we opened our doors in 2012, our aim here at Flatiron School has been to help students pursue better careers – and better lives – through education. Now, as the longest-operating coding bootcamp, over 1,000 students have trusted us with their futures. Key to that trust has been our unwavering commitment to releasing transparent, annual, independently-verified outcomes reports for every single graduate – a practice we pioneered for the bootcamp industry.

As we’ve expanded our offerings and served more students with each year, we still obsess over every job – and still celebrate every time a student lands an offer. Today, we’re proud to release our 2017 NYC Outcomes Report – our fourth, largest, and strongest jobs report to date, including student outcomes data for 460 students from our NYC Software Engineering and iOS Developer immersives and a web/iOS Fellowship programs.

Highlights from the report:

  • A 99% placement rate and $75,421 average salary for job-seeking NYC Software Engineering Immersive students.
  • Of those, 100% accepted technical roles (including software engineering, product, QA, and other roles on, or working directly with, engineering teams).
  • Students in our Fellowship programs for low-income New Yorkers reported a transformative $72,883 average starting salary. 26% of students in our report attended on full scholarships through our Fellowship programs.
  • A 99% graduation rate across our NYC programs.

In a rapidly-changing education industry, transparency and accountability are more important than ever.
